eilert pilarm - jailhouse rock

train journey.

hello, i come back from gig this morning and on a train through the countryside.  i was looking  in a field and saw lots of animal that look quite aggressive but eating grass. there were lots of them, i never seen them before. so i go home and look it up.

apparently it is survivor of ice age originating during late pleistocene around 300 000 year ago, it is part of Canidae family.  it shoulder height range from 0.6 to 1.4 meter and weight can be as low as 20 but up too 97 kg. They have no sub species which is really rare.  Once abundant now only occupy part of north america and are occasionally bred in uk and europe. This due to destruction of habitat and killed by man for fur and killed due to extirpation. They often feature in mythology, norse mythology uses it as symbol of balance of wise and fool and sometimes in western mythology as dangerous or villain.

They are animal that built for stamina and can travel long distance. They can travel very far when trotting at about 10km/h (6mph) but have known reach speed 65km/h (40mph).
They have very bulky coat running from grey to brown.
they have complex dentition. Six incisor, two canine, eight premolar and four molar.  The fourth upper premolar and first lower molar constitute the carnassail teeth, which use for flesh eating, althought many survive as herbivore.

amazing animal and i was so lucky to see them this morning, the animal i saw was the wolf-mule.  I love this wolf-mule animal it is like wolf but also like mule.  know i no why it look aggressive but only eating grass, it is wolf-mule
